Of the 127 million people in Japan, less than 2 percent profess a faith in Christ. This equates to 125 million Japanese people living without a life-giving relationship with God.
Luke and Erina, along with their three children, Eli, Emily and Noah are responding to the desperate need to reach the Japanese with God's loving-kindness and the life-changing truths found in His Word. In March 2018, the Sipos family will move to Fukuoka in south-west Japan to pursue God’s call on their lives as church planters. Initially, they will support Pastors Eugene and Fiona Gebert, who are also ACCI Field Workers, with their new church plant Waku Waku Life Church. After a time of developing their church planting skills, they will step out and plant a vibrant, bilingual Japanese church in a location where it can be a lighthouse to many.
Luke and Erina will host ‘Love-out-Loud’ music events, free English classes and interest groups to reach the community and share the hope and truth of Jesus. They’ll also host bible studies and discipleship events aimed at maturing believers, raising up leaders and teaching disciples how to lead people to Jesus and how to make disciples of their own.
Luke and Erina love God, love people and love God’s global church.
When it comes to ministering in Japan, the Sipos family are all in, but they can’t go it alone and need strong partnerships with people who are willing to:
SHARE posts on social media and share updates with their pastors and churches.
PRAY for specific needs and for the lost in Japan.
GIFT one-time amounts for relocation and project expenses.
SUPPORT the cost of living and ministering in Japan with ongoing monthly donations.
SERVE the church in Japan with their gifts, talents and/or Japanese language skills.
